Genesis 5:18-24
18 And Jared lived
an hundred sixty and two years, and he begat Enoch: 19 And Jared lived after he begat Enoch eight hundred years, and begat
sons and daughters: 20 And all the days of Jared were nine hundred sixty and two years: and he died.
21 And
Enoch lived sixty and five years, and begat Methuselah: 22 And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred
years, and begat sons and daughters: 23 And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years: 24 And Enoch walked
with God: and he was not; for God took him.
Hebrews
11:5
By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him:
for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.
Hebrews 11:32-37
32 And what shall
I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthae; of David also, and
Samuel, and of the prophets: 33 Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the
mouths of lions, 34 Quenched
the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the
aliens.
35 Women received
their dead raised to life again: and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection:
36 And others had trial of cruel mockings and scourgings, yea, moreover of bonds and imprisonment: 37 They were stoned, they
were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute,
afflicted, tormented;
1Kings 18:17-22
17 And it came
to pass, when Ahab saw Elijah, that Ahab said unto him, Art thou he that troubleth Israel? 18 And he answered, I have not
troubled Israel; but thou, and thy father's
house, in that ye have forsaken the commandments of the LORD, and thou hast followed Baalim.
19 Now therefore send, and gather to me all Israel
unto mount Carmel, and the prophets of Baal four hundred and fifty, and the prophets of the groves four hundred, which eat
at Jezebel's table. 20 So Ahab sent unto all the children of Israel,
and gathered the prophets together unto mount Carmel.
21 And Elijah
came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions if the LORD be God, follow him: but if Baal, then
follow him. And the people answered him not a word. 22 Then said Elijah unto the people, I, even I only, remain a prophet
of the LORD; but Baal's prophets are four hundred and fifty men.
2Kings 2:9-14
9 And it
came to pass, when they were gone over, that Elijah said unto Elisha, Ask what I shall do for thee, before I be taken away
from thee. And Elisha said, I pray thee, let a double portion of thy spirit be upon me. 10 And he said, Thou hast asked a
hard thing: nevertheless, if thou see me when I am taken from thee, it shall be so unto thee; but if not, it shall not be
so. 11 And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold,
there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.
12 And
Elisha saw it, and he cried, My father, my father, the chariot of Israel,
and the horsemen thereof. And he saw him no more: and he took hold of his own clothes, and rent them in two pieces. 13 He took up also the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and went back, and stood
by the bank of Jordan; 14 And he took the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and smote the waters, and said, Where is the
LORD God of Elijah? and when he also had smitten the waters, they parted hither and thither: and Elisha went over.
