Not since Hitler - Iran's president and the Jews

Not since Adolf Hitler has the leader of a major nation condemned the actions and the works of Jews in such stark and unrelenting terms.

Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, an ultra-conservative who won a surprise election victory in June, began a series of declarations by telling an October Tehran conference on The World Without Zionism that Israel was a "tumor" that should be "wiped off the map."

Undeterred by world condemnation, including warnings by Germany that his remarks would affect negotiations over Iran's nuclear program, Ahmadinejad called the Holocaust a myth, adding that if Europeans continued to insist that the genocide had occurred, they should cede some of their territory for a Jewish state.

With analysts saying that his comments are meant to boost his standing at home and in the Islamic world, Ahmadinejad said this week that "Zionism is basically a new fascism."

"Right now it massacres Muslims with direct guidance and help from the United States and a part of Europe."
