Biography

Dr. Ricardo Enoch Nunez was born in Medellin, Colombia, and spent most of his childhood in Colombia and in Balboa, Panama.  His family came to the United States, where he attended junior high and high school, and then later graduated college with a Bachelor’s degree in Divinity.

Although called to preach as a very young man, Dr. Nunez's  leadership skills took him into a lengthy career in intelligence and aviation.  He then moved into the corporate arena, where he worked in executive management for a major computer manufacturing firm.

During this time, Dr. Nunez sought to augment his education by earning his Master’s degree in Eschatology and Doctorate of Divinity degree.  For his extensive work in human and civil rights, Dr. Nunez was later awarded an honorary Doctorate degree.

Dr. Nunez’s educational aspirations have taken him all over the world, and endowed him with the knowledge of up to fourteen languages.  He has studied under the tutelage of chief rabbis in the Israel and Ethiopia, where he was honored to examine and research several authentic ancient apocryphal documents.

Spending his young years in what are considered developing third world countries gave him a diverse and wide-ranging view of the world at large.  And it also introduced him to human rights atrocities; some at the hands of local leaders, while others at the hands of major democratic nations.  To that end, Dr. Nunez has worked tirelessly in his devotion in seeking justice for those who have no voice.  His work in human and civil rights has taken him to backwoods southern towns where his very life was at stake, and to foreign countries where he has helped to feed the bodies and souls of those devastated by their hunger for food and truth.  He has worked with lawmakers at home and on Capitol Hill to assist with the human rights crisis in Sudan, parts of the Middle East and Asia, as well as civil right issues in this country.

In 1997, Dr. Nunez accepted his calling and was led to open The Church of Philadelphia.  The motto of the church, “I know thy works” has been a cornerstone of the work of the pastor and congregation.  As the book of Hebrews says to, “Be not forgetful to entertain strangers”, Dr. Nunez has devoted his life to helping any that would come.  The Church of Philadelphia exists as a small church, just as noted in the book of Revelations, but continues to grow and reach more and more people through its online internet ministry.

Dr. Nunez is an avid hunter using both bow and firearms, an expert aviator of winged and non-winged aircraft, accomplished artist and master chef.   In addition, he is a prophet of God and author of two books.  The first, “The Empty Tomb” was written in 1996 as a prophetic warning to America to repent.  And the newly released, “And Enoch Also Prophesied:  The Epiphany” which connects the prophecy of Daniel and the Revelation with current events.

Dr. Nunez is married to his high school sweetheart Emily, and has six children, two of whom are deceased.

The Pastor and His Work

As an ordained pastor and the founder of The Church of Philadelphia, my developmental, managerial and leadership skills have been used to further the growth of the church. My responsibilities include teaching and training new ministers and deacons. It is my intention that the ministers are prepared for the future office of pastor, preacher, evangelist, or teacher in their own church through proper leadership, scriptural studies, and active participation in pastoral and church duties.

In addition to leadership training and motivational skills, the preachers, teachers, evangelists, and pastors under my tutelage are also trained in Christian counseling, budget management, church growth management and fund-raising so as to properly administer and satisfy the needs of the church and its members.  I am especially interested in, not only attracting new members, but providing programs and services that will develop the individual and increase their spiritual growth.

Towards that end, I am working towards creating a program entitled, Trinity Fitness.  This program will target school-age youths and young adults to provide guidance and mentoring in the areas of developing the mind, body, and spirit.  Within the scope of this program I will have the responsibility of providing Christian teaching employing basic and adult learning techniques.  In addition, I will prepare these young men and women in the areas of physical fitness, etiquette and social skills, self-discipline, and developing job skills.

As pastor, my managerial skills include appropriate advertising and marketing to draw new members, as well as extensive computer skills training. In seeking to keep up with technical advancements, I am proud to announce this endeavor to branch out to the internet. By utilizing the potential of this technology, we will be are able to reach beyond our limited boundaries to those all over the world who wish to receive the Word of God.

In 1996 I was blessed to release my first book entitled. “The Empty Tomb”.  This book, which is held in the personal libraries of former President George Bush and current President George W. Bush, sound the warning to Americans and Christians that time is growing short and that change is needed.  This book quickly sold out, as a need was filled by the content of these 21 volumes.

Currently available is the first edition of my second book entitled, “And Enoch Also Prophesied: The Epiphany”.  Also included in this book is a bonus printing of “The Empty Tomb”.  This book completes the journey with an additional 21 volumes for a total of 42 chapters, to represent the 42 months or 3 ½  years of the Tribulation.  This book on sale now, carries a strong message for true believers who have outgrown milk and are ready for the meat of the Word.

Then answered I, and said unto him, What are these two olive trees upon the right side of the candlestick and upon the left side thereof? And I answered again, and said unto him, What be these two olive branches which through the two golden pipes empty the golden oil out of themselves? And he answered me and said, Knowest thou not what these be? And I said, No, my lord. Then said he, These are the two anointed ones, that stand by the Lord of the whole earth.  Zechariah 4:11-14

and the two candlesticks standing
before the God of the earth.  Revelation 11:4

My leadership abilities extend beyond the preachers, teachers, evangelists, pastors, deacons and staff to that of pastoral leader of the congregation.  Other areas of responsibility include: administration, spiritual counseling, marriage and family counseling, financial counseling, along with bible study, workshop and seminar presentation, and special events which focus on the physical and spiritual well-being of each member.

It is my belief that all Christian churches should be places where we teach, preach, and believe the Word of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost. If you love me, feed my sheep!

As church Pastor, I believe the responsibility of a leader is to serve those that he leads by being available, trained and prepared to serve. By upholding with honor, dignity and respect the office of church Pastor, I lead by example, teach from scripture, preach from the Spirit and listen to the Father for guidance.

It is also my belief that the rights and equality of all people, regardless of race, should be guaranteed. As such, I devote my energy toward upholding the standard of civil and human rights. My duties take me through a wide range of activities: preparing sermons, bible studies, ministers’ classes, performing weddings, blessings of homes and businesses, men, women, and children, baptisms, ordinations, communions, funerals, seminars, and lectures.

My doctrinal beliefs lie in the teaching, preaching, and believing in Christianity (to be Christ-like) and not religion. Religions are man-made and divisive in their effect on the body of Christ. I believe that one must be baptized: completely immersed in water. I preach the Holy Trinity. I confess That Jesus Christ is my personal Lord and Savior who died on the cross and was resurrected for my sins and paid the price once and for all. I believe that once you confess this before men, you must also believe. I believe the Bible is the inerrant Word of God and encourage all to read the Bible for themselves.

My educational career has lead me to obtain a Bachelor of Divinity and Master of Arts degrees with a focus in Theology. I have furthered my education by attaining the level of Doctorate of Divinity with a focus in Theology and Eschatology. I also hold an honorary Doctorate degree in Divinity as a result of accomplishments in my chosen field.
